The Government of Saskatchewan announced changes in 2016 for the craft alcohol industry.

The changes are focused on creating business opportunities for Saskatchewan craft alcohol manufacturers by eliminating regulatory barriers to growth. Specifically the changes are intended to:

  • Make it easy to get started as a craft alcohol producer in Saskatchewan.
  • Have a competitive markup structure.
  • Reduce red tape for craft producers.
  • Streamline access to the marketplace.
