The Saskatchewan Liquor & Gaming Authority is seeking an experienced, innovative, and self-motivated permanent full-time Network Architect to join its dynamic Information Technology Branch. The Network Architect is responsible for architecting, building, and maintaining SLGA’s networks, including computer, cloud, and firewalls. Their duties include working with network users to set policies, administering networks, protecting data and software. It is responsible for strategic planning, architecture, staffing levels, and mentorship.
This position is responsible to identify all strategic priorities related to network infrastructure and will contribute area expertise to large scale strategic initiatives. They will evaluate architecture and design or make changes as appropriate. They are required to make recommendations regarding the planning, architecture, policies, staffing levels, security, and maintenance of networks for all critical computer business systems in use at SLGA. Network Architects work with system users across various levels of a company, such as regional offices, distribution centres, retail stores, and others. They must have extensive knowledge of technology infrastructure and networking products to be successful. The Network Architect also works with other architects, network analysts, IT teams, project team, and is responsible for the transition of network items to operations.
