Annual Permit

Eligibility

SLGA may issue a Annual Special Occasion Permit for recurring events held at the same time and location. Annual permits are issued for no more than one event per week for up to one year.

The following types of organizations are eligible for Annual permits:

  • Bona fide organizations holding regular business meetings. Attendance at the event must be limited to members of the organization and invited guests.
  • Seniors’ organizations holding social events, including but not limited to dances, card games, and holiday events. Attendance at the event must be limited to members of the seniors’ organization and invited guests.

How to Apply

The best way to get your Special Occasion Permit is to apply online. Organizers should apply a minimum of 10 days in advance of the first event.

Restrictions

Annual Special Occasion Permits are valid for one year, for a maximum of one meeting per week for bona fide organizations and a maximum of one event per week for seniors’ organizations.

The dates of meetings or social events must be specified at the time of application.

Meetings held under an Annual Special Occasion Permit cannot exceed 6 hours in length while seniors’ social events may be permitted for up to 12 hours.

Minors

SLGA typically endorses an Annual Special Occasion Permit to allow minors to attend with or without the company of a parent, legal guardian, or spouse of a legal age.
