Annual Permit (Regular)
Eligibility
Annual permits are available for organizations that hold regular meetings at the same time and location. They cannot be used for social functions. These permits are available to bona fide organizations and groups.
How to Apply
The best way to get your special occasion permit is to apply online. Organizers should apply a minimum of 10 days in advance of the event.
Restrictions
The permit is valid for one year, for a maximum of one meeting per week. Dates of meetings must be specified at the time of application. Meetings are open to members and invited guests only. The permit is valid for a maximum of six hours per meeting.
Minors
Minors who are members of the organization may attend the meetings under a non-sale annual permit. They may only attend the meetings if accompanied by their parent, legal guardian, or spouse who is of legal age under a sale annual permit.
Annual Permit (Seniors Organizations)
Eligibility
These permits are available for organizations, a majority of whose members are 55 years of age or older. They are to be used for regularly scheduled social functions.
How to Apply
The best way to get your special occasion permit is to apply online. Paper application forms are also available by contacting SLGA's Head Office. Organizers should apply a minimum of 10 days in advance of the event.
Restrictions
This permit is available only to bona fide seniors’ organizations and groups. Permits are valid for one year, for a maximum of one function per week. Dates must be specified at the time of application, and designations such as the first Saturday of each month are acceptable. Events are restricted to members and invited guests only.
Minors
Minors may attend the events under a non-sale annual permit. Minors may attend the events under a sale annual permit if they are accompanied by their parent, legal guardian, or spouse of legal age. The permit is valid for a maximum of 12 hours per function.
